ADVANCED RHEUMATOLOGY ASSOCIATES OF NEVADA PATIENT POLICIES

As a new or existing patient of Advanced Rheumatology Associates of Nevada (ARAN), we welcome you to join our dedicated team of professionals and participate equally in your healthcare journey.    As a member of your team, we commit to providing you the very best we can offer in healthcare services and expect that we will both work towards mutually beneficial goals.  For this reason, we want to share with you our Patient Policies regarding the Provision of Care along with information about Insurance Considerations, Patient Conduct and Scope of Services.

What Can I Expect as a Patient of ARAN?

  • Patients will always be seen for a first time visit with a Board-Certified Rheumatologist;
  • Subsequent visits may include the provision of care by Advanced Practice Registered Nurses or Physician Assistants depending on the level of services required;
  • ARAN may utilize scribes during the office visit who will assist in completing timely and accurate medical notes;
  • ARAN will occasionally, from time to time, invite medical students and/or fellows to participate in office visits, however, patients may upon request, refuse their participation in your scheduled appointments;
  • Patients are required to provide the most up-to-date and accurate Insurance information to the office along with an assignment of benefits to ARAN; failure to do so may result in consideration as a “cash pay” patient until such time as insurance information can be verified;
  • Certain drugs require follow-up labs and testing. No refills will be ordered until the patient complies with the defined monitoring check-ups as outlined in their treatment plan;
  • ARAN may discharge a patient from treatment after three no-call, no-show missed appointments;
  • Patients are expected to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled appointment;
  • ARAN is a specialty rheumatology practice requiring a referral from a primary care physician or other related provider and does not provide assessments for workers compensation or workplace disability;

A complete list of Patient Policies and Treatment Provisions will be provided to Patients upon their first visit.
